Role: Non-Executive Chair
Industry: Deep-tech / Advanced Nuclear
Location: Flexible / Hybrid
Commitment: 1-2 days per month
Our client is a venture-backed deep-tech company pioneering next-generation nuclear fusion technology with immediate commercial applications across healthcare, advanced manufacturing, research and industrial markets.
Its proprietary platform has the potential to transform the production of critical medical isotopes while creating a broader foundation for future fusion-based applications.
Having recently completed a significant Series A, the business is already generating commercial revenue and has a clear path towards profitability. As such, it is now entering an exciting phase of international growth and organisational scale-up.
The Non-Executive Chair will be joining at a pivotal moment, working closely with the founders, board and investors to strengthen governance, provide strategic guidance, and help steer the business through its next stage of commercial expansion.
This appointment will play an important role in supporting fundraising, international partnerships and long-term value creation, while building a high-functioning board and preserving the entrepreneurial culture that has underpinned the company's success to date.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader who has helmed (as Chair or CEO) an investor-backed deep-tech or life sciences business, alongside a successful track record of scaling complex, capital-intensive organisations and commercialising novel technologies.
They will bring strong governance expertise, investor credibility, and established networks across radiopharmaceuticals, energy, defence, advanced engineering, or other highly-regulated industries.
In return, this is an opportunity to help shape one of the UK's most exciting deep-tech businesses as it tackles a globally significant healthcare challenge while building a platform with the potential to redefine an emerging industry.
