Our client is a world leader in the development of electric propulsion systems for the emerging aerospace electrification market, headquartered in the UK.
The company benefits from an experienced leadership team, proven technology, and the support of dedicated investors. As such, it is well placed to meet the demand for its technology within the aerospace and urban air mobility markets.
With a growing international customer base, the company is scaling fast and is now further expanding its footprint in Europe with the appointment of a VP of Business Development.
Reporting to the CCO, the VP of Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing the European sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the region. The primary focus will be on managing the existing customer accounts and winning new customers with a view to securing new programmes, in line with the company’s objectives.
With a demonstrable track record in business development and delivering revenue growth, the successful candidate will be proven in selling aerospace electric propulsion products/systems or related technologies.
The VP of Business Development will possess:
Experience of selling related products into general aviation, UAM or military aerospace applications
A track record of having negotiated and won substantial programmes
A good level of technical understanding, as well as of the market trends, with a passion for creating a sustainable future for aviation
Ideally an engineering degree in a related field
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build long-standing relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
