Role: Chief Commercial Officer

Our client is an innovative, fast-growing materials technology company that partners with world-leading sports brands to develop game-changing products that boost performance.
Having established a successful commercial platform where revenue is generated through a combination of component sales and development work, the business now seeks a Chief Commercial Officer to bring dedicated focus and leadership to its sales, marketing, and account management activities.
The CCO will drive profitable revenue growth from sales into the large sports brands; maximising existing relationships in the short-term and growing the longer-term pipeline through developing a commercial strategy that aligns with the company’s goals.
Therefore, the ideal candidate will have a successful track record of selling high-performance textiles/fabrics/components into major sportswear manufacturers.
Crucially, it is essential that they can demonstrate their impact in driving revenue growth for a new and/or emerging brand or technology.
Additional requirements include:
Experienced in (or capable of) operating at a strategic level
An understanding of how garment manufacturers think, operate and purchase
Experienced in successfully managing accounts with large sports brands to generate revenue
Technology-led background with the ability to articulate technical benefits in a multi-stakeholder customer environment
An appreciation of the dynamics of selling from a small company into a much larger one
Experienced in developing, building and working in teams
